Start off your day bright and early with us! Say GOOD MORNING to your friends while we discuss all the good events happening in our neighbourhood. We will check the weather so we can make plans for our day. Next, we will get our bodies up and moving with some music and fun light exercise.

Yoga is the thousand-year-old practice of meditation, that combines breathing exercises, physical exercises, and mental exercises to better oneself. Yoga allows us to focus on all parts of our being to increase focus, reduce stress, improve balance, and strengthen our body. Yoga does not care if you are young or old, in shape or out of shape there are basic yoga breathing exercises and poses that can be adjusted for everyone and anyone! Classes will include relaxing breathing exercises, basic standing, and seated poses to increase balance and body strength with a class focus to teach individuals to reduce and let go of daily stress.
Tuesdays: 10 am
Put on that thinking cap and enjoy a variety of Trivia questions! Come up with the answers on your own or in a group. Different themes will be presented on a weekly basis. Anyone can play and if you want to host a Trivia contest just let us know.

Let us explore a different area of our world every week. Classes are dynamic with music, pictures, sound, and always great conversation! We can find new recipes to share with our cooking program and how different holidays are celebrated. If you have a Country, you would like to explore just let us know and we can all travel there together.

Peace is the highest happiness. And by being in Harmony with Yourself, you can welcome it in your life. Harmony is deeply connected with the balance of your mind, body, and soul. … It is happiness, completeness, fulfillment, satisfaction, acceptance, peace. How can we achieve this? That is the goal of this session! Students will focus on social and emotional coping skills. In addition, we will discuss our feelings as well as talk about our goals, life, and disabilities. Our goal is to teach our participants to live their best life despite their challenges.
Wednesdays: 9 am
A body in motion stays in motion. Get your body moving with Catherine! These classes will accommodate any level of ability and will get your heart beat up and muscles moving. They will allow you to be as active as you wish, and you can work at your own pace and intensity level. Being idle can contribute to severe problems with the body. When we dance, we make our muscles move and contract, rather than letting the body get weaker, and potentially allowing muscles to get stiff and even atrophied. Luckily, beginning to move and exercise can reverse muscle atrophy and help the body get stronger and more flexible overall. Motor skills are also improved with dance because it focuses on strength and coordination. And as we dance, our posture and balance improve as well.
LIFE SKILLS FOR
Tuesdays: 1 pm
Learning takes place every day and in everything we do. During this class different topics including math skills, literacy and language skills will take place! Numeracy, counting, equations, fractions, money awareness and more in math. You will be guided to extend your own letter knowledge beyond simple recognition and work on sight words and how to construct simple sentences. The literacy-oriented activities provided will involve communication skills, listening, speaking, and reading.
Fridays: 10 am
Who doesn’t love to yell “BINGO”! Playing bingo can lead to a happy mood. This is also linked with the communication connected between one player to other players. Playing will build the good friendship and promotes emotional well-being. This kind of good social interaction will bring cognitive and physical health for sure. Get your dabber ready and win a prize.
Wednesdays: 11 am
Crafting is the art of creating a physical object used for a further purpose. In this class we will learn to be creative and imaginative while focusing on an end goal. Participants will be using their hands and honing motor skills while creating items for practical everyday use or gifts.

A fun and exciting time in the kitchen learning all the basic areas of food preparation. Classes will consist of Nutrition & Review of Food Planning Meals, Reading Labels, Eating Healthy on a Budget & Grocery Shopping, Adapting/Creating Recipes, and Experiencing Social Activities around Food. Classes will also focus on Cooking Skills, Kitchen, Food & Food Storage Safety, Use of “over the counter” Utensils for Cooking, Freezing & Thawing Food, and the safe use of kitchen equipment.
Thursdays: 10 am
A fun time to listen to our favorite songs, explore new artists, watch videos, and sing along. In music class students will do basic music reading and listening skills, introduction to instruments and singing. In music theory students will learn how and why music sounds the way it does. Students will engage in fun musical activities such as karaoke and group band sessions.
Tuesdays: 1:45 pm
Who does not love to hear their own voice in the shower! You can bring it to life now during this fun and interactive time. Using music to improve physical and emotional health is another helpful tool. Your participation can be as simple as clapping hands or tapping feet your feet to the music or participating in sing-a-longs. Playing percussion instruments is another popular music activity, where the rhythm and vibrations can be felt. This session will stimulate your senses, and can help to improve your overall mental, social, and emotional well-being.
WE LOVE BOOKS!
Thursdays: 6:30 pm
This class is designed for book and reading enthusiasts. Each session will start with a discussion/recap of the previous week’s reading. Participants will have an opportunity to explore their love of reading and practice critical thinking skills. Books will range between fictional and nonfictional and will be selected based on client suggestions and E-Book availability. Based on Participants interest, books can be sent to their home for in-class and out-of-class reading. Students will develop literacy skills, critical thinking skills, socialization, and public speaking skills.

Discover animals, explore the world, or sit back and relax while listening to a story. There is something different every day! Each dynamic class provides fun opportunities for participants to learn about animals across the world, ask questions and engage in interesting conversations!
Tuesdays: 11 am
Every season brings a new adventure. This activity will allow participants to learn about the season and incorporate crafts and activities into it. Time to plant our seeds or time to rack our leaves everything will be discovered during this activity.
Fridays: 1 pm
Grab your favorite snack and get ready for your favorite movie to come on. Movies will be based on suggestions from participants. If you miss the movie it will be replayed on the weekend.
Thursdays: 11 am
Explore Woodworking Classes and home improvement classes with this online activity. These online classes explore a wide variety of techniques, tools, and topics, including how to make useful items for your home, painting, and staining wood, and how to make a bird house. If you have an idea send it to Vicky and let your creative minds come together.
