As a valuable member of our community, I would like to take this opportunity to reach out to you to be a part of Lend City 5th Annual Golf Tournament in support of HIA, Harmony In Action.  Harmony in Action is honoured to be this year’s recipients of funds raised. The event is scheduled for Friday, July 19th, 2024 at Sutton Creek Colf Course.

Harmony In Action is a not-for-profit agency providing day programs to adults with disabilities in the Windsor and Essex County area. This past April, 2024 we opened our first group home located on the grounds of Harmony in Action’s Day program. The participants who attend Harmony have a range of physical, emotional, and intellectual disabilities. The sponsorships and donations that we receive thru out the year assist and in particular this Golf Event assist us in providing our day program activities. If it was not for events such as these many of our participants would not be able to participate in the programs we offer.

Please find enclosed the available sponsorship package for this event. If you wish to be a sponsor or would like to put a foursome together or just provide a door prize, please complete the attached form and email back to [email protected].

All donations will be recognized through our social media platforms as well as at the events. All monetary donations are eligible for a tax receipt.

Our crafts and activities programming provides learning opportunities, skills development, community engagement year round!

• Twice a week participants do a craft based on the season, or educational component occurring during the program
• Cooking classes take place twice a week
• Outings occur once a week, i.e., crafts at Michael’s, bowling, swimming etc.

Hot lunches are prepared on site following recommendations of the Canadian Food Guide.

Weekly Sponsorships:

• $250.00 per week will provide Hot Lunch for all participants for one week

Sponsor Hot Lunch for one participant for a year:

• $260.00 will pay for one participant to have hot lunch once a week for a year
• $25.00 each month will pay for one participant to have lunch once a week for a month

Items for this fun-filled February 14th include:

• Gourmet Cookies or Cookie Kits
• Valentine’s Day Treat Bags
• Valentine’s Day Individual Craft
• Valentine’s Day Bingo with Prizes
• Heart Shaped Pancakes & Chocolate Covered Fruit

Our special week of activities during March Break include:

• Zoo Show
• Magic Show
• Pottery
• Balloon Animals & Face Painting
• Pizza Party

Participants celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with:

• Corned Beef and Cabbage hot lunch
• Patrick’s Day pottery
• Patrick Day Dancers

Easter is the beginning of Spring and our participants celebrate with events that include:

• Easter Egg Hunt (Plastic easter eggs filled with treats)
• Easter Dinner (Ham, Mashed Potatoes, Veggies, Dessert)
• Individual Easter Gift

The highlight is a visit from the Easter Bunny!

Twice each year we take our participants to Colasanti’s:

• Private Shuttle to Colasanti’s (Transit Windsor)
• Private Animal Encounter Show
• Lunch per Person
• Arcade Games

The private animal encounter show is a favourite!

The summer months are full of adventure and fun-filled excitement:

• Water Balloon Fight (at HIA)
• Leave Those Kids Alone band performance (at HIA)
• On The Green mini golf
• Movies at cinema (rent theatre)
• Fort Malden
• WFCU Pool, Splash Pad & Hot tub (personal rental)
• Bowling
• Amherstburg Splash Pad & ice cream/frozen yogurt
• Dog Show (at HIA)
• Greenview Avaries/ African Lions Safari
• Ice Cream/ Timbits Day (at HIA)
• Face Painting/ Balloons Animals (at HIA)
• Heritage Village/ lunch
• Family BBQ (All families of HIA, Staff and their families, community partners invited, all food provided by HIA (at HIA)

Our Day Program participants celebrate the magic of the season with:

• Visit from Santa
• Individual Gift Bags for all attending participants (5-6 gifts each)
• Turkey Dinner with the fixings (Turkey, Potatoes, Gravy, Rolls and Dessert)
• All HIA family invited (pre-Covid)
• Decorations
